Poster Session
The poster session is a key element of the conference and a great venue to share the latest information regarding your research project with the diversity of TPPA members and guests who attend the conference annually.
New this year, if you are a student and wish to present a poster, you do not need to register for the conference . You may attend the conference for FREE. Students are also eligible to compete for the poster awards. Awards of $150, $100, and $75 will be presented to the top 3 student posters.
Please plan on presenting a poster and encourage your fellow researchers and students to do the same. Be a part of the excitement!

Continuing Education Units (CEU)
The following CEUs have been approved for the 2016 Texas Plant Protection Conference:
- Certified Crop Advisers(CCA) – A maximum of 13.5 CCA CEUs
- Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) – 11.0 TDA CEUs are available
Pest ID Contest
For more than 23 years, conference participants have been invited to participate and are challenged in the Pest ID Contest on their skills of identification. Pests chosen for the contest can be related to cotton, corn, rice, sorghum, watermelons, grapes, pecans, walnuts, peanuts, citrus, pastureland and rangeland. The session concludes by going over all of the contest pest specimens for the participant’s reference. Awards and cash prizes are given to the top three identifiers. Winners are recognized at the TPPC Awards Luncheon.
Awards Luncheon & Business Meeting
Conference registration fee covers the December 7th luncheon, where the winners of 2016 TPPA Awards are announced. The winners of the Poster & Pest ID Contest will also be announced.
